Our Smooth Cast finish is produced using a self-consolidating mix — a precisely formulated, highly fluid concrete that flows into every corner of the form without vibration or handwork. The surface is refined, consistent, and clean: the authentic character of high-end architectural concrete. It reads as modern and intentional, and it pairs naturally with steel, corten, teak, and clean-line hardscaping. If the outdoor space has a designed vocabulary, Smooth Cast belongs in it.

Pressed Finish

Our Pressed Finish is produced from a stiff hand-packed layup mix applied in a singular formwork. Because the mix is compressed by hand rather than poured, the surface retains natural, organic relief variations — dimensional texture and subtle undulations that are unique to every piece. No two Pressed Finish tables are identical. The aesthetic is elemental: something quarried, not manufactured. This is the finish of choice for homeowners, designers, and landscape architects who want a fire table that reads as a material object with its own character — not as a product that came out of a catalog.

The Cure Process — Time Is Part of What You’re Buying

After casting, every piece stays in its form for a minimum of 48 hours. During that time, the hydration reaction generates significant internal heat — temperatures inside the concrete reach 130 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit as the cement hydrates and gains early strength. This exothermic reaction is not incidental. It is a critical phase of the cure, and it has to happen under controlled conditions.

We cover every piece with plastic sheeting to retain moisture and return throughout the process to add additional hydration as needed. Curing blankets maintain elevated temperature and preserve the conditions that allow full strength development. Concrete continues gaining strength for full cure after casting. Giving it those full full cure — with proper hydration and temperature maintained throughout — is the difference between a piece that performs for decades and one that shows stress fractures within a few years.

Most fire table manufacturers don’t operate this way. Production schedules don’t wait for full cure cure cycles. Ours do. Every time.
